The Self-Balancing Human: the ATS-1 textbook
Body, mind and cell as one self-balancing system, explained from first principles, with the methods ATS-1 uses to measure recovery and change. A PDF, $296.
What you get
- The three planes and homeostasis as deviation, feedback and recovery
- The plane methods: sleep, nightly HRV, wellbeing questionnaires and experience sampling
- The five indices, each with its formula and its limits
- Jung's ideas restated as testable measures, and those kept interpretive
- Evidence tiers, and how to describe wellness measures without medical claims
Who it is for
Product, research and science teams who need to understand within-person measurement well enough to plan it, read it critically or explain it.
How it works
Read it before you build. Each chapter maps to a part of the specification summarized on this site, starting with the three planes. When you are ready to implement, a Triplane Readiness Assessment reviews your data and wording against ATS-1.
Price and limit
- $296, one payment.
- At most 3,000 a year. The limit reflects what we can deliver well; we do not run countdowns.
- Prices rise 10% each year. A price you have paid stays fixed for the period you paid for; the increase applies from your next purchase or renewal, and we tell you before it does.
What it is not
ATS-1 is a proprietary technical specification published by ANTRL. It is not a consensus standard, has not been adopted by any standards body, and conformance is self-declared. ATS-1 is for research and general wellness only. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent or predict any disease, including any mental health condition.
